About UsIt started with a close relationship between mother and daughter. In recent years, our lives were separated living many states apart. In 2005, my daughter came up with an idea of something we could do together even though we lived so far apart. The answer was making handbags. With Mom having a lifetime of experience sewing, and daughter with the gift of creativity and technical experience, we began our new journey together. During the Summer 2005, we worked on designs using freezer paper and the old trial and error method. Some things worked and some things didn't. The search for the perfect fabrics was very challenging, but fun. After a lot of hard work, determination and creativity, Frannie Mac was created. The name was derived from our mother/grandmother, Frances MacMillan who passed away in 1975. It is our hope that your Frannie Mac shopping experience is fun and the fabrics and design you select make you feel good.
